JUST ANNOUNCED
Yesterday we made three very exciting announcements regarding upcoming events here at the Halls. For one, Jamie Oliver is returning to Roy Thomson Hall! Formerly known as the Naked Chef, Jamie Oliver hits the RTH stage for the first time since 2009 on Wednesday, November 16, 2011. Jamie will be speaking about the topics in his latest book, Jamie Oliver’s Food Escapes, and once again the event will be an interactive one, complete with a Question & Answer session at the conclusion of the night. Bonus: ticket buyer’s also receive a free copy of the new book on site on the night of the show!
Next up, we’re thrilled to report that the Canadian Tenors will be performing two shows entitled Home for the Holidays this December 22 and 23. The Canadian Tenors perform their unique blend of classical and contemporary pop music favourites at Roy Thomson Hall this holiday season. If you missed them performing Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” on the Emmy Awards last month, this video is a great introduction to the group and includes much love from the likes of Bill Clinton, Dr. Phil, and Oprah Winfrey.
Finally, we’re stoked to announce that we’ve got a second date booked for Chicago! As you know, we already announced one Chicago performance on February 4 and now January 31 brings another chance to see this superband. To get yourself geared up for the shows, there’s a great video of the band talking about success and longevity on the band’s VIP site (and there seems to be even more exciting members-only content available through the VIP site for a membership fee – you can read about it here).
For FriendsFirst members, tickets are available for sale for the Canadian Tenors today (Tuesday), for Chicago on Wednesday, and for Jamie Oliver on Thursday. Tickets for all three shows go on sale to the public next Monday.
