Today we announced that Women Fully Clothed will perform their latest sketch show, Older & Hotter, at Massey Hall on Friday, May 7, 2010 (which happens to be the Friday before Mother’s Day). These four fantastic ladies – Kathryn Greenwood (Whose Line Is It Anyway, This Hour Has 22 Minutes), Robin Duke (Saturday Night Live), Jayne Eastwood (My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Chicago), and Teresa Pavlinek (History Bites, The Jane Show) – have been called “the funniest women in Canada” by the likes of Eugene Levy.

The Buzz: November 17 – 23

Michael Kaeshammer performs at Glenn Gould Studio last year.

Just for fun, we’re trying something a little different with the Buzz this week: you’ll still get a weekly dose of all the good stuff, just packaged in a shiny new format. We’ve got show highlights and announcements, and we’ll also let you know about awards, news items, and other inside scoop details about the artists and presentations at the Halls. Let us know what you think!

**JUST ANNOUNCED**

C. R. Avery is coming to Glenn Gould Studio on Thursday, February 25. This guy is something else: his bio calls him a “one man hip hop beatbox blues harmonica americana iconoclast,” and when Tom Waits gave C.R. a listen he said “blowin’ my mind.” Avery impressed this year at the Hillside Festival in Guelph and a new album, The Great Canadian Novel, is due out in 2010. Trailer Party

Alex Lifeson and Bubbles perform “Closer to The Heart” at Massey Hall in January.

Following their sold out Massey Hall debut last January, the boys from Sunnyvale Trailer Park are returning to share their tales of misadventure and underachievement. That’s right: we are thrilled to announce that the Trailer Park Boys themselves are bringing their side-splitting, daring, live theatre show back to Massey Hall on Wednesday, March 10 at 8 p.m.

This encore appearance follows closely on the heels of the much anticipated release of their second feature film, Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day, in September 2009. Now in its seventh season, Showcase television’s hit show has made Ricky, Julian, and Bubbles famous beyond their wildest dreams.

Tickets go on sale to FriendsFirst members on Wednesday, November 18 at 10 a.m., and to the general public on Saturday, November 21 at noon.

Caroline Hall is the Marketing Coordinator for Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall.
